Aged Care Trial Finds Systems-Level Support Improves Guideline Implementation
A multistate randomized controlled trial in 19 Australian residential aged-care facilities examined ways to improve uptake of psychotropic-medication guidelines for people living with dementia. The Monash-led research found that implementation depended not only on guideline quality, but also on facility leadership, workplace culture and dedicated support.
