NFL Settlement Testing May Miss Cognitive Decline in Players With Advanced CTE
A Boston University study of 33 former NFL players whose CTE was confirmed after death found that memory problems were the most common cognitive deficit identified during life. The researchers also reported that the NFL Concussion Settlement’s testing criteria may have classified some players with measurable impairment as having no impairment.
